First of all, this is late, but

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [profile] kikuko_kamimura!!!!!!

and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [profile] rumdiculous!!!!!!

And in other news, I got a new tattoo. $60 bucks for four one-inch tall words that spell out, "Love as thou wilt", which is from Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel's Legacy series.  It encompasses the belief that love is first and foremost among all things.  That love is important and you should not turn from it.  To me, it means that Love, no matter who you fall in love with, or who you love, is all that is important.

I am happy.  The tattooist did it in his own style, so beyond being the same words as many others might have, it's his own design, own script.

Yay! And a part of me wonders if Trichsters aren't close to being an anguissette, because I don't think we feel pain, at least as far as pulling out our hair, in the same way as others do. There's a sort of satisfaction in doing what we do.  At some point, I'd like to get a design similar to the rose and thorns on the cover of those books. Something personalized, but with the same idea. I also still want that dragon on my inner left forearm and I've decided that I want a tattoo on the outside of my left calf.  So, I will be balanced, since I have a tattoo on my outside right calf (a yin and yang that I want to see about getting done differently), three kanji on my inner right forearm that say "Ginkawa Hana" and now the tattoo across the upper back that says "Love as thou wilt".

People ask if it hurts, but I've come to realize that I'm not the best to ask.  I find it satisfying and like getting it done. It's like when I got my left ear pierced with an industrial, it was a sharp pain, but it wasn't bad.  Before I'd gotten it (and maybe why I got it, to prove to myself something), I'd seen girls coming out crying because it hurt so bad.

And maybe, just maybe, I'm a freak. But not in a bad way... *shifty eyes* XD

[EDIT] Ya know, I did think it said "thou" on the design he showed me. I'm an idiot. I hope he can fix it (you know, after it heals) so it says "thou" as opposed to "than". Love as than wilt is NOT love as thou wilt. I even wrote it out for him. *sigh* You can pretend the a is an o and the n is a u, I suppose. *annoyed*
