Here I go again, making multiple posts in a day. To be honest, I don't care LMAO I'm just remembering my earlier years on LJ and making posts, even those with just memes (memes, quiz results, etc.) and no other purpose.

Current reason for this post is remembering the absolute ridiculousness in the VLD Sheith (Voltron: Legendary Defender) fandom when I first joined. A Bottom!Shiro week occurred and then someone tried to do a Bottom!Keith week and suddenly people had such an issue with it, either because 'that character is already feminized so much' or 'that's already the standard' and so on.

As I remember things, I'll share them here for posterity, but my god. The drama never ended while I was in that fandom. So much drama and fandom wank. Both for my OTP, Shiro/Keith, but also among other ships and between ships. A lot of it originating with the KL (Keith/Lance) group of fans.

I made some outstanding friends while in that fandom and I cannot regret that at all. And I can't regret Sheith at all either.

The comms line crackles, and a high-pitched voice comes through, a chittering noise resolving itself through the translator into: “Permission granted, SS Hestia. Welcome to Norix and Happy Tu'krelix.”

The translator really tries, but it doesn't manage with that last term. Shiro and Keith share a perplexed look. Keith shrugs, and Shiro takes that as his cue to open the line again and say, “And to you as well. Approaching now.”

Shiro stopped in his tracks, a terrible doubt nagging at the back of his mind. He turned around, watching closely his surroundings, and had to come to the disastrous conclusion: he was utterly, and completely lost!
All he could see were big trees and smaller trees, and weird bushes, some luminescent mushroom-like things, and sort-of-ferns as well. And he couldn’t see very far, as it was late at night. Even the full moon didn’t help much. Only a ray here and there found its way through the canopy. He would have asked his way, but the mossy streets were empty at that hour. Because, yes, this was a city.
