Out of all the characters to die, with the exception of Tamahome and Miaka themselves, the death of Hotohori made me cry a little bit.  He had known about the Suzaku no Miko since he was a boy and had hoped to finally be rescued from loneliness by her presence, even to have her love him as a person, not as an emperor.  Agh, I feel the pain! Imagine waiting for someone to come along and then they love you as a person, but just as a friend and fall in love with another person.  He got married but I don't think he ever got over her, regardless if he wanted her to be happy.  So sad.  And I'm almost done. T_T

I know for a fact that Miaka does get her happy ending (at least that's what someone else has said) so I'm not worried, but oh, poor Hotohori. I think, when I get settled in my new life in Spokane and perhaps have extra cash after the other things I'm waiting to buy, I'll add this series to my collection.

In real life news, I have another interview on Monday with Bank of America. I'm very nervous about it because I don't have very professional clothing, so I'm going to look WAY underdressed I think.  But I should just relax and remember that while I need a job, I don't necessarily need this one. GAH.  I need money to get better clothes, but I need a job first!

Banks are usually fairly strict on dress codes for positions of high rank like loan officers (since, after all, banks are essentially a trust business) but not so much with tellers. It depends on the bank branch, of course, but a nice shirt and some slacks should be sufficient for interviewing, and then if you get the job they will let you know what the proper attire for their branch is. My mother, for example, was a loan officer and had to wear suits, nylons and heels every single day other than Fridays, but this was back in the 80s when big huge linebacker shoulderpads were still in, so it's not a good gauge anymore. Also, you're lucky to be interviewing in the summer, because standards of dress usually go way more lax when it's warmer.

In short, as long as you have something that looks a little more professional than usual (like what you wore at your last job) you should be fine. ^^

Saw that anime years ago.

The other day, I popped a tape into my VCR, not sure which one it was. Turns out it was a copy of FY I'd made for someone but never given to them. The first scene was the one where Tamahome finds his family murdered by Suboshi. I went from "O hay, what's this here?" to "WAAAAAAAAAAAH *sob*" with actual tears, in like ten seconds flat.

But my Hotohori. Never forgave Watase for that. WRYYYYYY. It was one of those moments, like ep 25 in Death Note, where I just wanted to stop watching for good.
