Admittedly I decided I wanted to read this one because of the discourse on Tiktok, where fans of another book (Powerless) tried to say that the author of Red Queen took the idea but Victoria had written and published in 2015 and Powerless was published in 2023.
I think we all know who won. Alas, I started to read Powerless at some point this last year but the first few pages turned me away and so I decided to try Red Queen out of spite. Because that's how I am sometimes.
Anyway, I am wondering if I am able to enjoy series as a whole anymore because yet again, I started with book one and have no desire to continue reading. That's not to say that this book wasn't a decent read, but I am just not finding myself able to care about the story and where the characters are going now.
It is what it is, I guess. Maybe you will enjoy it.
