Social Media Hiatus Day Eighteen

josilverdragonEnded up blocking a mutual on tumblr because they were posting about the JB/BL case and from their posts were in support of the side I hope loses overall. JB got his movie stolen from him because BL wanted control of the franchise overall and the bs that BL and RR pull just pisses me off. Especially having to deal with BL blackmailing TS to support her or she'd release text messages is such an evil thing to do to someone who is/was a friend.
I've been following since the first lawsuit last year as well as remembering the way that organically people started talking about how disastrous the wardrobe from that movie was as well as how much of mean girl BL is. The subpoenas her legal team issued against anyone who's talked about her negatively says a lot to me how much of it was used to shut people up, which only causes more shit to be talked about.
Anyway, I have eyes, I have ears, I have the sense to understand that TS not supporting BL, especially with regards to sexual harassment and being such good friends with BL, means that it is very likely that BL did it solely to gain control of the It Ends with Us franchise and JB didn't want to hand it over.
So, yeah, I ended up unfollowing them and blocking them so they will stop following me. Kindest thing I could do so they don't wonder, if they ever really cared because I followed them for Sterek a while back but nothing they've been reblogging lately has been of interest to me.
Speaking of that, I find that when I first joined tumblr back in October of 2011, it wasn't that big of a deal if someone I was following or was mutuals with changed fandoms and started posting/reblogging about that. It was fun to see what they liked and I could just scroll by without issue. However, flash forward 14 years, I find that I am overwhelmed by how much stuff I scroll by. The tabs on tumblr, where I can focus the tags I prefer, does help but man, my following tab is so chaotic. Not to mention, I don't have the patience to scroll as much as I used to. Some of that I blame on newer social media platforms, or rather not new, but the format of social media over all where it encourages shorter attention spans. It's why I'm glad I took this hiatus, if only to try and give me a chance to reset (hopefully) and have more time for things I would rather do.
Today I did intend to start tearing apart my room, and I have done some things but it's going slowly and honestly, that's okay. Since I'm mostly just moving my bed as well as trying to clear out some of the things clogging my room up, it's not going to be as intensive as it might sound lol. It is only Monday and while I am aware that time moves in such a way that it will be Friday tomorrow, I'm not worried lol.
One thing I did need to take care of was making sure we got our delivery of water. Our well is contaminated with PFAS because of the nearby airport and so we get our drinking and cooking water from Culligan as result of this, provided by the state (I think? or the county) and we didn't get a delivery this last week. I called and supposedly they delivered 4 bottles and I'm like, we usually get 10 total and no one delivered this last week, and now I'm down to two, one of which is in use now. So they checked and will be delivering 8 bottles tomorrow, thank goodness. The next time would have been 8/26/25, which two bottles would not suffice once the parentals come back home.
I still need to take care of my tires but ugh. I don't want to leave the house now XD

(Also, anyone else turned off of Deadpool now because of RR? I used to love it until I learned how much of a manipulative person he and his wife have turned out to be.)
