James Bond falls for a spearphishing email, and it falls to Q to give him his mandatory cybersecurity training.

This is not going to go well for at least one of them.

“Can I help you?” the man asked.

“I’m dying,” Q answered bluntly, his voice a barely whispered rasp. “Or not. Again with the pain everywhere, so not entirely sure.”

“Ignore my friend’s poor attempt at humour,” Bond interrupted. The sense of familiarity and danger threatened to overwhelm him again, but there was no time for that — even if it was probably the result of underestimating his head wound. He’d sort that out later. For now, he had to win over a highlander.

“We had a bit of a hiking accident earlier this evening, I’m afraid,” Bond said as he shifted Q’s weight against him. “I thought we could make it to the next town for a hospital, but now I’m not so sure. I’d love to check him over if you have a spare flat surface and decent light to lend.”

MI6 has been compromised, at least one agent inside suspected of working for the criminal mastermind James Moriarty. Bond's assignment is simple: find the mole and resolve the situation. The only catch is that the mission requires something Bond doesn't have in abundance: computer skills. With all of Q-Branch under suspicion he must turn to outside sources, and Mycroft Holmes thinks he has the perfect solution: his youngest brother.
