Work started early today because I decided I should probably start attending the 15 minute "pulse check" that happens at 5:45 AM my time. So I've been up since about 5:30 lol. But that works in with my plan to solidify a routine for me, which felt nice last night. And I got 6.5 hours of sleep, which if I try hard and make it consistent, it will allow my body to get used to it. I also felt good about the bed time routine, which, full disclosure, is chores I mean to do but always forget. So I added them as things I do to get ready for sleep. ( Read more... )

One of the promises I made to my mom upon her and my step-dad's demise from this life is that I keep the horses until they pass. It's the same with any other pets they have and I wholeheartedly agreed.

Anyways, that preface aside, I think when the horses do pass away, I will probably adopt a couple of horses from a sanctuary or somewhere nearby and give them a home at that point. If we still have the house when the parents pass and our current horses pass, that's what I'll do.

There's never enough homes for the animals that are in need.
