Today's Album-A-Day brought around another Supercar album, B, from 1997. It was enjoyable, definitely easy to listen to but nothing really stuck out. It was enjoyable.

The Music Shuffle Nostalgia that came up was a Japanese artist who goes by Lia, with the Collection Album, Spectrum Rays. Her music can be called electronic, dance, trance, pop and I don't even remember how I came across her music. Anyhow, definitely at the edge of my dance/electronica enjoyment and while I liked a couple of songs it wasn't highly memorable.

Anyways, there are probably some people who love these albums and I'm glad for them, but today, they didn't strike well for me. Glad I listened to them though.

Alrighty, caught up and ready to discuss today's pulls.

Next on my predetermined list of artists to listen to was Sara Bareilles. I first really started getting into her when she released her album, The Blessed Unrest, and while I haven't 100 percent been into what she created (The Waitress musical), I always appreciate her talent in storytelling and music.

This album is Careful Confessions, released in 2004 and was her debut album that was independently released. Some of the songs on this album are original versions of songs released on her major studio debut on the album Little Voice. All the studio album did was produce them and polish those songs, but it's wonderful to hear just how amazing she was as an independent artist. She has so much talent and had so much potential, which she absolutely lived up to with Little Voice and the succeeding albums she released. Phenomenal talent.

For today's Music Shuffle Nostalgia, the almighty shuffle on my hoarded music files brought up Supercar (スーパーカー), a group I found while trying to find a Japanese band to obsess over in the middle to late 2000s. They came up on a probably now defunct internet radio station on Live365.com (which still freaking EXISTS - the website, not the station) and I decided to find what I could to download as they are nice indie rock band, more contemporary than pure rock and I enjoyed listening to them today.

The album today was Highvision, released in 2002. The band is no longer active (sad) but at least I have them saved on my harddrive and available to stream on Spotify.
