Vash had told Nick he was going to go for a quick store run. There was no way for Nick to even know since he’s out on a job. He’s probably talking to Nai’s henchmen anyway, because they all work for the same man. And of course Vash promised him he wouldn’t fall back into Nai’s bed, but Vash is weak.
