Did something to my right knee. Probably when I wore those stupid new shoes I tried. My knee was fine before then and now it's fucked up. I ordered a knee brace so I'll have support while it heals, but for now, none of my power walking moves. Plus, I was second-guessing my decision about doing swimming but ultimately, this only confirms that swimming will need to be how I get excercise as a result of my weight. Additionally, I'll be working on how much I eat, again. I need to drop some weight. I need to focus on that and it sucks. I love food. And most of that is processed and bad for you. Even some of those salad kits. It fucking sucks. Or maybe I might become vegetarian, or gluten-free, and see if that helps. I just don't like to cook lol or to meal prep. Sigh.

Didn't update last night like I wanted because I was exhausted and the parentals came home so I spent a couple of hours talking with them. And like I suspected I only moved items I wanted to put in storage to the car, but everything else fell by the wayside. Ended up picking up The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo at Auntie's yesterday before I picked up dinner and groceries.

Today is my first day back at work post-vacation and the first thing I noticed was they have started construction on the back end of this little business park, so now all those trees are gone. They turned this beautifully wooded area into a pavement paradise and it was such a saddening thing to see. I hate to see it.

I'll update more as the day goes on.

I bought new shoes - loafers - and I hate them lol. I will not likely wear them after today. I miss my wide toe box shoes. I may have to look for mens-sized loafers because these are way too restictive in the toes. Ugh. And they are the right size, but toes frequently are squished and it's uncomfortable. Especially after having worn wide toe box shoes for almost 2 years.

Well, I was going to complete this update last night but I felt sleepy around 9pm and decided to lay down. So here we are lol. I am so glad we have Monday off for Labor Day. I am simultaneously glad to be back to work and also so tired of work already.

I have some additional things I need to get done this week so I think I'll make a to do post again. That helped a lot. And my plans for August. . .well, will be funny to see everything I didn't get done in the month of August. Although I'm slightly dreading fully going back to my socials.

Anyway, I'll keep you updated.

Remember when people on your flist used to do this? I do. People still did it on Tumblr, twit, and so on, but I liked the journal like this because you could use strike through. I thought about using discord but meh.

The last few days have been busy. Not that I haven't had time to post, it's just that I didn't have much to say at the moment. Today, I just wanted to share that I have Sleep Token's "Provider" in my head, as in:

Also, I may be back on Tumblr. So, hey, that's the longest I've ever been on a social media break and I'm limiting my time until 9/1 so it's still officially a break. I've just kind of broken some of my own rules and they are mine to break and there's no consequences or repercussions so it's fine.

Anyway, it's my second to last day of vacation and the parentals will be home tomorrow evening from their vacation. I'll give you a rundown of the last few days for posterity's sake and since the subject line of this post covers that lol.

Today was spent between watching my Youtube "Watch Later" list (don't even ask how many videos because it's A LOT, much like everything else in my life lol), clearing out my room so I can move my bed, and rebuilding my fanfiction library on calibre. It's been busy in one way or another. The good thing is that I found items I had been missing so, that's a win. It also means that I am seriously considering going to the rec center nearby and swim.

Basically, I have been wanting to get back into swimming because it allows for a lot more movement while feeling weightless, which would be beneficial for my joints. I am a very overweight individual with a questionable relationship with food, so I need something that won't harm what joints I have still while still getting me moving. And my step-dad swears by it. I had been thinking of doing this since last year some time but I tried working out in the gym at work and by the time I wanted to reconsider swimming, I couldn't find my goggles or my nose plugs lol. As a result of finding them today, I was thinking about seeing what time classes were at the rec so I could go outside of those times and just take a lane and swim a little bit. It would be the first time out of the house since I went and got groceries on Sunday. A good excuse for an excursion!

In other news, Culligan did finally deliver and thank goodness for that.

Here I go again, making multiple posts in a day. To be honest, I don't care LMAO I'm just remembering my earlier years on LJ and making posts, even those with just memes (memes, quiz results, etc.) and no other purpose.

Current reason for this post is remembering the absolute ridiculousness in the VLD Sheith (Voltron: Legendary Defender) fandom when I first joined. A Bottom!Shiro week occurred and then someone tried to do a Bottom!Keith week and suddenly people had such an issue with it, either because 'that character is already feminized so much' or 'that's already the standard' and so on.

As I remember things, I'll share them here for posterity, but my god. The drama never ended while I was in that fandom. So much drama and fandom wank. Both for my OTP, Shiro/Keith, but also among other ships and between ships. A lot of it originating with the KL (Keith/Lance) group of fans.

I made some outstanding friends while in that fandom and I cannot regret that at all. And I can't regret Sheith at all either.
